Covid-19 update

Mineville School District COVID-19 POLICY

UPDATED: 2/22/22 at 5:03 PM

Due to COVID-19 there has to be some restrictions that we have to follow to stay safe and open.

Masks:

As I am faced with yet another no win decision, I am going  to follow the guidance from the health experts (ODH) and beginning Monday, February 14, 2022 we will return to recommending but not requiring  mask wearing in our schools.  However, masks will still be required on our buses until August 31, 2022, when the bus order expires.

Transportation:

  • In the morning buses will not report to their parking spots they will line up and drop off their students then do their next route
  • Buses must let dispatch know that they arrived at a school. Ex. 7 has arrived at Kenwood.
  • All drivers must assign students a seat to help with contact tracing; no student will sit behind the driver.
  • Masks will be required while on the bus and must be worn correctly that means above the nose and below the chin.
  • When assigning seats, you may only have 2 in a seat unless the kids are little then you can put 3 in a seat.

Sanitizing:

After each run each bus will be disinfected to keep all buses clean and free of germs.

Social Distancing:

Social Distancing will be required inside all schools and while inside the bus you must stay 6 ft from each other to keep everyone safe.

Daily Screening:

Daily screenings will be done every day to make sure everyone is healthy. If you have any of the following symptoms you will be sent home. There will be a temperature taker when students walk in all buildings that will report their temperature.

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
